Just think, one year ago this very evening, E and I were in our hotel room in Vinh Long, nervously (well, me anyway...) anticipating the next day when we would finally meet our son. For me, Halloween will always be a day of "treats," since October 31st was the first day when we finally met our son in person.
For his first "official" Halloween as a member of the "clan," C is celebrating in a style that is all "3-year-old boy." After explaining the concept of Halloween (or the best attempt Mom-Mom could muster), C decided he wanted to be a "dinosaur," complete w/ the required "ROAR" (cue sound effects). So, last Friday, C, Ba, Opa, and Mum-Mum trekked to a local costume shop for some costume shopping (like I need a reason to shop, right?). Without blowing the budget, C selected a really cute dragon costume, complete with purple "spikes" on the back and wings (yeah, I know, technically not a dinosaur...but if C is happy, then we're all happy).
Move forward 24 hours, C "debuts" his costume at our church's "Trunk or Treat" Fall Festival. That kid is too darned cute, I tell ya'. But, we'll let you be the judge.
We'll be posting more pics later. Stay tuned...
