Just when you thought you heard it all...

...C speaks and you have to laugh. On Monday, C, M, and I traveled for a follow-up appointment with his pulmonologist (lung doctor for all you non-healthcare folks) - well, technically, the pulmonologist's nurse practitioner (M.A., who is great, btw!). M.A. is pregnant and visibly showing. As M.A. entered the room, C's eyes grew wide as he saw her expanded abdomen. C asked, "What that?" (pointing to said abdomen). M.A. explains "there's a baby insider my tummy." C then proceeds to ask, "How it get there? You eat it?" (laughter ensues by Mum-mum and M.A.).

On the bright side, C apparently has Ba's sense of humor. Even better, Mum-mum has another opportunity to speak to C about adoption and different ways families are created (speaking of which, there's a great book we purchased at the SPAFA Adoption Expo called, "The Family Book" by Todd Parr - shows, in a simple and colorful way, how families come in all shapes and sizes - not just adoption).
