Observations on our final day in Ben Tre
1. Again awoken to the bells
2. Who knew there was a "Coconut Monk?"
3. VN people use the entire coconut (from candy to husk and tree)
4. Apparently, there is such a thing as coconut liqour (and I was brave enough to try it - but I warn you - don't drink and paddle =D - we went from the factory to a boat ride...see the Coconut Monk note...to a paddleboat ride down a very small river)
5. Honey tea made from fresh honey is YUMMY (but beware the python in the cage - I give kudos to P, M, J, & T for actually holding a 30 kg python - who is apparently a "pet" of the honeybee farmers - I shall name him Monty =D)
6. It's difficult, but manageable, to navigate VN cuisine w/ a shellfish allergy
7. VN meals are communal and are comprised of way too many courses to count (and I actually thought I might lose weight on this trip...)
8. I finally fulfilled the gift box quest!
