If this were a Broadway musical, this would be the part where the main characters randomly breakout in an up-tempo song. Oops, there goes T (little need to give her a cue)! The CIS (US Immigration) finally approved C's paperwork. This allows us to complete the final visa interview tomorrow with the State Dept. Then we can pick up C's visa on Monday and head for home.
Yesterday's Broadway song would have been a lament or perhaps a downbeat version of "Something's Coming..." (Tony from West Side Story). We needed CIS approval yesterday to come home on Sunday as planned. CIS hadn't approved anyone all week (though Monday was a US holiday), so everyone was concerned about the hold up. So we won't get home exactly when we planned, but, pending finding flights during the Thanksgiving travel week, we should make it home mid-week. Some days are dark, but, as Hemingway noted, The Sun Also Rises. In fact, it rises here before y'all go to bed on the previous day. (Translation for the Pennsylvanians in the audience: The sun rises here before yous guys go to bed.)
Our photo for the day is C brushing his teeth. For those of you keeping score, this was the final of three objectives. We have completed all three of our parental goals in two weeks (bathing and shampooing being the other two). Aren't we good? (And E hasn't exposed C to vermin, caused him to puke, or thrown any of his personal effects into the sewer in several days.) Ok, we still need to get him to use toothpaste when he brushes his teeth. But he should do that shortly and then we have 16 years or so to rest on our laurels.

Sorry to hear about the delay in travel. I'm hoping your travel agent will be able to find you tickets to get you home asap!! Won't it be great to be HOME with your SON?!?
Congratulations,

Colin looks so cute with that toothbrush!
Glad to hear you have accomplished all three parental goals in a short time.
Have a safe trip home
